Lab VIEW, Test Stand, Senior Test Engineer, A global healthcare products leader, Hyderabad

• The Systems Design Quality Assurance (SDQA) Test Engineer works closely with project development teams to support the design, development and deployment of design verification, product development, and manufacturing test engineering solutions and systems. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, implementation, and validation of test and data collection systems in LabVIEW and Test Stand
•  Support for development of a software reuse framework, and definition of processes and best practices for test automation software development. Involvement in helping develop, manage, document, electrical and mechanical test system to support for both immediate term and long term test development strategies.
• Support outsourced test engineering contract development both at the local and global level.
• Designs and develops tools and test systems/fixtures to be used to support product validation
• Develops design assurance specifications and test methods
• Implements, generates and manages test system documentation
• Helping in development of standardized software, electrical and mechanical test platform to support for both immediate term and long term test development strategies.
• Manages sustaining, preventative maintenance and test system replication
• Develops documentation test tools and solutions to support configuration management
• Develops and writes requirement specifications for test development work activities
• Instructs engineers and technical support staff on engineering test and build requirements
• Ability to supervise and prepare laboratory technician tasks and projects as required
• Provides written reports and engineering documentation as necessary
• Develops team problem solving and communication skills
• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of standards and guidance’s relevant to the medical device industry
• Stays informed about applicable new rules, regulations, and standards
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area
• Follows all safety procedures

EDUCATION:

• Required : BS in Electronics Engineering or related field  
• Preferred : Master in Electronics Engineering or related field

EXPERIENCE:

• Required:  Minimum Six (6) years experience in test engineering practice.
• Preferred:  Three to Four (3 - 4) years experience out of the total experience   in R&D, QA and/or testing departments, ideally in a medical device development company.  

KNOWLEGDE, SKILL AND ABILITY

• Proficiency in National Instruments LabVIEW
• TestStand experience is desirable
• Familiarity with National Instruments test hardware
• Ability to define, develop and implement manual and automated test solutions
• Competent in verification and validation activities and associated test methodologies through interpretation of specifications, standards and requirements.
• Desired experience with test system architecture, development, deployment, and life-cycle management.
• High proficiency with managing all aspects of documentation control
• Experienced with change control, requirements management, source code control
• Comfortable interfacing with specialized and standard lab test equipment in both a stand-alone and programmatic capacities.
• Capable of diagnosing system-level hardware faults and root-cause analysis to the sub-assembly, board, or component level if needed.
• Knowledgeable in analog, digital and RF circuitry
• Desired understanding with IEEE 488.1/2, VISA, GPIB, Serial, USB, LAN, TCP/IP, RS-232, RS-485 communication interfaces.
• Desired experience with PXI, PCI, DAC, DAQ, DIO, etc…
• Well versed in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access
• Works well in a team environment to coordinate activities across multiple projects which may interact with various engineering disciplines.
• Strong background in data acquisition, automation and analysis
