Roles and responsibility for
Group Leader - Unit /Integration Testing, A global healthcare products leader, Hyder:
The Software unit / integration test automation group leader will work closely with software development team and the design quality assurance team, and will be responsible for the design and development of a solid and extensible Unit and integration test framework to ensure high test coverage and automation of regression testing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs duties as the leader of the Unit / Integration test group.
- Works collaboratively with software engineers, and SW QA.
- Develops unit and integration test requirements with participation from software engineers.
- Develops automated unit and integration test suites, and ensure desired level of test coverage has been achieved.
- Executes automated tests and generate reports to summarize the result of unit/integration testing,
- Logs defects in the software change control system.
- Develops documentation test tools and solutions to support configuration management
- Develops and writes requirement specifications for unit / integration test development work activities
- Instructs engineers and technical support staff on engineering test and build requirements
- Ability to supervise other software unit / integration test engineers.
- Provides written reports and engineering documentation as necessary.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of standards and guidance’s relevant to the medical device industry
- Stays informed about applicable new rules, regulations, and standards
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area
- Follows all safety procedures
Requirements for
Group Leader - Unit /Integration Testing, A global healthcare products leader, Hyder:
EDUCATION:
BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or closely related field.
EXPERIENCE:
- BS with 10 -12 years of experience in software design and development is required.
- MS with 8-10 years of experience in software design and development is preferred.
- PhD with 5-8 years of experience in software design and development is preferred.
- Experience in real-time applications is preferred.
- Medical instrument development experiences a plus.
KNOWLEGDE, SKILL AND ABILITY
- Ability to define, develop and implement automated unit / integration test solutions
- Experience in regulated industries developing safety critical devices is a must.
- Familiarity with FDA Quality System Regulations (820.30 design controls), European Regulatory Requirements (ISO 13485), and specifically IEC62304 is preferred.
- Experience with automated software test tools such as vectorcast/c++ for software unit and integration testing.
- Excellent C/C++ programming skills.
- Embedded system experience is a plus
- Multi-threaded programming experience.
- Ability to effectively work with and lead a team and to influence others.
- Familiarity with object oriented methodology.
- Experience with test system architecture, development, deployment, and life-cycle management.
- High proficiency with managing all aspects of documentation control
- Experience with change control, requirements management, source code control
- Project management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and professionalism
